Hip pain be gone!
After spending all summer in my Chaco sandals I decided it was time to invest in some Chaco shoes. I bought the Redrock sneaker and I am very pleased with them. The combination of the high arch and heel cup are the hallmarks of the Chaco footbed. They're even approved by my chiropractor... my bum hip doesn't bother me after a day wearing these shoes. It might be off-putting to some that you're able to actually feel the arch support pressing into your foot but it does help to turn your feet into a more stable position rolling them outward to balance the weight more evenly. I'm holding back the fifth star because the laces manage to come undone no matter how many knots I put in them but otherwise a solid investment overall. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who suffers from foot knee hip or lower back pain or to someone who is looking for a solid walking/hiking shoe.

Great Sandals
Well made solid pair of sandals. Looks great and feels good on the feet. I suggest that you buy a half size bigger than your fit in Kenneth Cole shoes. I wear 9.5 in shoes and the size 10 sandals were just the right fit.

Terribly Uncomfortable
They look great and standing still they are very comfortable. However when you walk around for a while the thong part between the toes becomes unbarable. I can't even wear these but they were so cheap it wasn't worth sending back! Bummer!

*Comfortable* **Flip-Flip** But Requires Break-In!
I bought the SOLE MEN'S PLATINUM FLIP-FLOPS because I read rave reviews on another website about how great they were. That site was sold out as was SOLE'S website and so trusty Amazon to the rescue. They had them in stock and in my size and so I got 'em.
First off the flip-flops are super light. They hardly weigh anything but they seem quite durable and they look pretty good too except the front of the flip-flop seems to have this extra room jutting out from my toes. Maybe this is for added protection for the toes I'm not sure but my foot is as far as it will go in the strap and yet there's plenty of flip-flop to go which is in front of my toes.
The insole foot-bed has a really good arch-support and cradles the foot which is good for me because I have flat feet. It also feels like stepping on a nice cushion with each step.
I did have to wear them for a little while for the first couple of days that I had them because the microfiber(?) strap felt uncomfortable against my skin. So break them in first before you wear them for extended periods of time or else you might get blisters or irritation from the strap.
Now that they're broken in they feel much better. Anyway these SOLE FLIP-FLOPS offer really good arch support for a flip-flop (the other being is Chaco Flip Sandal for Men but those are heavier) so I would recommend them if you're looking for a sandal that has a good insole for problem feet.
UPDATE: 08/26/09
I just got back from a 6-day vacation in Hawaii and the SOLE FLIP-FLOPS performed great! I used them on the beach and after snorkeling walking in the water to get up close to sea turtles to walking around Waikiki at night and my feet never got sore or tired. And they still look good as new!

What a great idea!
I bought these for my husband and he loves them! They seem to run true to size. They have a pocket in the sole that lets you carry keys and a license/credit card. Great for the beach/lake when you don't want to carry a wallet.

This is a minor miracle!
Doctors ought to recommend this product! For the first time in 10+ years I know now what it is walk around without pain! The arch support is where this is unlike anything I've worn. I suffer from a very painful flat foot and this actually "massages" the arch when I walk if you know what I mean. There is *very* good cushioning all over so the feet experience no impact at all. I do use custom orthotics but that doesn't help when I'm just walking around the house. Still the difference the orthotics made is in fact incomparable to this minor miracle! I'm sure there are countless others out there who could use this so please spread the word!
Just for accuracy I bought it directly off Footsmart's website.

Very comfortable flip flops
By far these are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever worn. The arch support feels very good and my heel doesn't roll or slide at all. The padding is not too squishy and not too hard. They also look relatively cool and casual like the ones I'd buy at surf shops though perhaps not quite that cool. They are stylish without being too formal or fancy.
My pair size 12 seems about 1/2 a size smaller than that but I anticipated this based on reviews elsewhere. I normally wear 11.5 and these 12s fit great. I'd gladly pay retail ($50) for these but look for deals. I found them for $32 with shipping.
I've had plantar fasciitis for 7 years (a fallen arch and heel pain). As a result I can't walk barefoot for more than 5 minutes without developing heel pain. When I am not at work and sometimes when I am I constantly wear running shoes with added arch support. These flips with nothing added feel just as good on my bad foot as a running shoe with added support. My toes can get sun again!
They claim with reason to be environmentally friendly. I don't know if average flip flops contribute to global warming so I'll just take Chaco's word for it.

Heel pain ends here!
I have been fighting heel pain for several months. My doctor said not to go barefoot even at home...so I found these sandals to primarily wear at home. It took a couple of days to "wear them in". I wore them several hours the first few days and now can wear them all day. They have great arch support so it controls my overpronation. These sandals are now my "shoe of choice" home or away!
